The bad news continues to mount for Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinals. Sports Information Director Kenny Klein published a press release at 2:30 this afternoon stating that Louisville will be without sophomore guards Wayne Blackshear and Kevin Ware tonight against Pittsburgh. Blackshear will miss the game due to a sprained shoulder and Ware has been suspended indefinitely.
Wayne Blackshear suffered a sprained right shoulder in practice on Sunday. The injury is expected to sideline him for a short period. Kevin Ware has been suspended indefinitely for an unspecified reason
This makes tonight’s match-up even more difficult for Louisville. Early foul trouble from Peyton Siva or Russ Smith could lead to major minutes for Tim Henderson. This is Ware’s second suspension of the season. He was also suspended for the first exhibition game of the season for undisclosed reasons. Although Blackshear’s shoulder injury isn’t expected to keep him out long, it’s still a slight concern considering he’s already had multiple shoulder surgeries.

Why is our players always getting hurt during practice?? Maybe they should take it a little easy on eachother during practice, or they should wear football gear because Pitino will always practice hard no matter what. They are already wearing helmets during practice. It’s just ridiculous

Maybe they should be more physical in games! Seems like they have been playing soft during this losing streak
