Keith Kelsey Jr., a 6-foot-2 215-pound linebacker from Gainesville, FL., has verbally committed to Louisville.

Kelsey was set to make the announcement at 9:30 this morning, but the news of his commitment to Charlie Strong and the Cardinal program had leaked about an hour before his announcement.

He chose Louisville over South Florida and Kentucky. Kelsey also had offers from Duke, Iowa State, Central Florida, Marshall, Purdue, Utah and Wake Forest.

Kelsey is the fourteenth member of Louisville’s 2013 recruiting class and is the second linebacker to give his verbal pledge, joining Donel Elam of Orange Park, FL. Look for Louisville to add three or possible four more recruits in this class.
