January has been a good month for former Louisville forward Earl Clark, who is now a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. Clark has played almost more minutes this month with the Lakers than in his first three seasons in the league.
Clark was given an opportunity to more extended minutes for LA in the last couple of weeks due to numerous injuries. The man formally known as E5 has more than taken advantage of the opportunity.
Clark is averaging 9.8 points and 8.9 rebounds in the month of January. Despite the return of four time NBA All Star Pua Gasol, Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni has named Clark the starter.
Gasol started in Los Angeles’ Sunday night loss to the Toronto Raptors, but it was Clark who came off the bench scoring 14 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.

Shows just how much more development these kids need when they THINK they are ready for the NBA. Four years of college is barely enough for most of these kids.
