Former Louisville forward Earl Clark has spent most of the 2012-13 season on the bench for the Los Angeles Lakers. Clark has played just 5 minutes per game in his first season in Los Angeles.
He was part of a blockbuster trade over the summer that sent three members of the Orlando Magic to the Lakers. With a roster full of talented veterans, Clark has had a tough time breaking into the lineup.
Fortunately for Clark, the Lakers have been depleted with injuries lately, which allowed E5 to play a season high 21 minutes last night in a 112-125 loss to the Houston Rockets. In those 21 minutes, Clark finished with five points, nine rebounds, three assists, one block and zero turnovers.
Earl hasn’t quite lived up to his lottery pick potential, but it’s good to see him making the most of his opportunity last night.

E5 was starting to play well for the Orlando magic but they saw fit to make him part of that crazy deal, so many of our guys have ended up in bad situations . The Orlando magic ruined Reece Gaines career because they didn’t know if they wanted him at the one or the two position!

This is why these guys need to stay in school and develop. They try and kill the golden goose and grab all the eggs at once instead of getting them one at a time. In few years, he’ll be selling insurance. All that talent gone to waste. He shouldn’t have listened to all the hype.

Congrats E5-E6 on that huge game last night against the Spurs. NBA is a buisness. Earl has only been at teams where other guys playing his same position make 3x’s the money. They wont sit a product theyve invested more money into. Unless the team is Desperate or injury prone and the Lakers are Both. Earl sst
