Leron Black 2Leron Black, a 6-foot-7 195-pound power forward from Memphis, TN., de-committed from Baylor earlier this week. Louisville is one of a handful of schools that Black is now considering.

According to Jeff Borzello of CBS Sports, Black’s new list includes Kentucky, Baylor, Ohio St, Florida, UConn, Memphis, Kansas, Missouri, NC State, Louisville, Tennessee, and Vandy.

Black is rated as a 5-star prospect and is considered to be one of the top players in the 2014 class.

Prior to committing to Baylor, Louisville’s staff was very familiar with Black. He doesn’t currently have a scholarship offer according to Scout.com, but I’m sure the interest level will pick up now that he is back on the board.

Black is still considering Baylor, but as of right now it looks like Kentucky could be the favorite. There is still a lot of time for things to develop with Black’s recruitment.

  1. Nope…I just can’t see this kid at UK / Louisville or Georgetown, perhaps.

  2. Nick Coffey has no idea what he is talking about.

  3. I’m sure O Cal’s pocket could get real deep for this kid, hopefully he is a better class than to go that rout. Just my opinion

    • Players want to play for Calipari because they see his coaching as a fast ticket to the NBA. Your opinion is pathetic, baseless, and probably born of extreme jealously. It is said that it takes a small mind to put down a great man; Calipari will remain a great coach anyway.

      • If you are not brave enough to put your name, your REAL, FULL name on your comment, then perhaps it’s something you shouldn’t post. People can be awfully brave when typing at their computer anonymously. Try pretending you are speaking to someone face-to-face.

  4. No he will likely choose Louisville , UK has Randle pretty much locked up and , could still land Wiggins so he won’t get the playing time he needs a UK .
