Jaquan Lyle, a 6-foot-4 combo guard from Evansville, IN., has been on Louisville’s radar for quite some time. He is currently rated as a 5-star prospect and is considered to be one of the top 20 overall players in the 2014 class.
The last we heard from Lyle, he had Louisville, Kentucky and Indiana at the top of his list. Rick Pitino and Tom Crean have both offered him a scholarship, while John Calipari has shown interest, but hasn’t pulled the trigger just yet.
Lyle shared these screen shots from a Kentucky message board via his Instrgram account earlier this week with UK fans bashing his game.
I’m sure a lot of players read what people say about them on the internet. Particularly high school kids. With Lyle taking the time to share these to thousands of his followers, it doesn’t seem like he took the criticism too lightly.
Rick Pitino said that Louisville is only actively recruiting one guard in the 2014 class after loading up in the backcourt with the 2013 class. Lyle is believed to be the one guard still be heavily pursued by the Louisville staff.

Is this how desperate Louisville is in recruiting? They have to put out a story to make their rivals’ fan base look bad. Have you seen some of the crap posted on the Louisville board? They wish ill on other players.

I’ve seen a bunch of people all over the boards pretending they are UK fans and I would not be surprised if the writer of this article was the perpetrator. UK fans love their players and recruits, Just ask the superstars who are in awe about the UK fans. Weak article.
