  • Chane Behanan had a double-double by halftime and finished with 24 points and 22 rebounds for the White team.  His counterpart Montrezl Harrell also finished with a double-double of his own with 17 points and 10 rebounds for the victorious Red team.
  • After some doubted the improvement of Kevin Ware after Rick Pitino speaking about his off-season improvement the sophomore finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and nine assists.  Looked very good and will be a key contributor to the Cards success this season.
  • Three point shooting remains to be a huge question mark for this team.  Pitino doesn’t believe that this will be a great three point shooting team; I’m not sold on it even being a good three point shooting team.  Time will tell.
  • I’m not sure most fans know what they have with Harrell, but this guy looks really, really good.  I’d say after this small sample he looks more ready to go than Behanan did at this point in his freshman campaign.
  • Wayne Blackshear, Peyton Siva and Gorgui Deing seem to have been getting the most pre-season attention, but after what I saw out of Chane he may be the guy to make the largest impact for this team if he can play night in and night out the way he did tonight.  Must remember that he put up this performance against a very good Montrezl Harrell.
  • Other notable stats: Blackshear – 13 points, eight rebounds & five assists.  Siva – 12 points and six assists.  Russ Smith - 12 points.  Hancock – Seven points and eight rebounds.
  • Luke Hancock had shoulder wrapped up on the bench late in the scrimmage, but Pitino mentioned he’d be fine.  Shoulder had just tightened up.
  • This will be one of the deepest teams Louisville has had in an extremely long time.  That may be the difference maker down the stretch for the Cards on the backside of the season.  Not much fall off from the ones to the twos tonight.
  • Pitino mentioned Harrell could back up Deing at the 5 some.  Could make up for an interesting duo of Behanan and Harrell in the paint at the same time.
  • This team showed an impressive amount of speed, physicality and athleticism that will be a tough matchup for many.
  • Class of 2014 small forward Darius Austin appeared to be the only recruit in the house for the Cards.
  • 10,355 fans showed up to catch first glimpse of a team that could be potential National Title contenders.
