It turns out Marquez Valdez’s verbal commitment to Louisville yesterday afternoon; via his Twitter account isn’t official just yet.
Valdez does have a scholarship offer from Louisville and although he made it clear yesterday afternoon that he wants to be a Cardinal, the coaching staff hasn’t officially accepted his commitment.
From what I understand, although Valdez announced on Twitter that he wanted to commit to Louisville, he didn’t actually talk to the coaching staff about it. I wouldn’t be surprised if Valdez doesn’t end up as a part of Louisville’s 2013 class, but only time will tell.
