Notes
–Charlie Strong opened his Monday afternoon press conference by referencing conference play as a new season.
–Strong says he’d like to potentially change the schedule where they can play at least one conference game early in the season.
–Last week’s practices were split between getting back to the fundamentals and preparing for Pitt.
–Dominique Brown will be made available if Jeremy Wright or Senorise Perry were to get injured. From what I’ve gathered, it sounds like Brown is making progress, but at this point; I don’t think the staff wants to waste a redshirt unless they have to.
–Coach Strong seemed pretty excited about the 11 o’clock kickoff. It sounds like he thinks the team will be focused.
–When asked about defensive leadership, Strong said Hakeem Smith and Preston Brown are the current leaders on this Louisville defense.
–Offensive lineman John Miller will be evaluated throughout the week. A decision likely won’t come until near game time. Senior linebacker Daniel Brown will be out this week.
–Next week’s South Florida game will kick off at 3:30 PM on ABC.
