James Quick was one of the many unofficial visitors at Ohio State over the weekend as the Buckeyes 63-38 win over Nebraska. Quick, one Louisville’s top targets in the 2013 class was apparently very impressed with what he saw in Columbus.
“They’re now sitting right there at the top with Louisville,” Quick tells Jody Demling of CardinalAuthority.com
Louisville and Ohio State have been thought to be Quick’s top two schools for quite some time, with Louisville slightly being the leader. It looks like Quick’s trip to Columbus has changed things. He is also still considering Oregon and Tennessee.
I wouldn’t panic just yet, as Louisville is still in good shape with Quick, but Urban Meyer has made Quick a top priority in recent weeks. It has previously been reported that Quick planned on taking all five official visits before making his decision. There has been some talk that Quick would make his decision at halftime of the US Army All American Game in January.
I still think if Quick had to make a decision today, he’d go with Louisville, but Urban Meyer and Ohio State are now a serious contender as well. Quick is expected to take official visits to Oregon and Louisville and Ohio State before the end of the year.
