With Louisville’s 2013 class now complete, Rick Pitino and staff have now shifted their attention to the 2014 and 2015 classes. Coach Pitino extended a scholarship offer yesterday afternoon to Isaiah Whitehead, a 5-star scoring guard from Brooklyn, NY.

Pitino was reportedly one of the many coaches in attendance to see Whitehead on Thursday. The 6-foot-4 scoring guard is considered to be one of the top 20 overall players in the 2014 class. Whitehead has scholarship offers from Arizona, Florida, Georgetown, Iowa State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Louisville, Syracuse, St. John’s, Texas and Xavier.

Whitehead attends the prestigious Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, NY. Syracuse is believed to be the early leader. They’ve been pursuing Whitehead for quite some time. Members from the Orange staff have also made trips to see Whitehead this week.
