Offense

Senorise Perry – Four games into the season Perry has yet to start.  Apparently starting doesn’t matter.  Averaging 5.5 yards per carry Senorise leads the team with 340 yards on the season.  Last week the Southern Miss defense allowed Western Kentucky University to run up 369 yards. Unfortunately, for the Golden Eagles they return the same defense.  That should allow for a big rushing game for the Cards and I see that to be spearheaded by Senorise Perry.  Don’t be surprised to see a fair amount of touches go to Corvin Lamb as well if Louisville gets to a big lead.

Defense

Preston Brown – Including myself, many expected Preston to be the leader of this defense; vocally and physically.  For no apparent specific reason, that has yet to happen.  Brown is averaging four tackles per game (after averaging 6.5 last season) and most of which have been fairly quiet; until the FIU game.  Against the Panthers Preston finished with just five tackles but really made himself known on the field and made some huge stops at crucial times.  Look for this game to be the breakout performance for the Junior MLB en route to a strong finish on the season.
