According to Andy Katz of ESPN, Louisville and North Carolina could potentially meet on the hardwood during the 2013-14 season. The Cards and the Tar Heels will headline the 2013 Hall of Fame event at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Mountville, CT. Below is an excerpt.
The Hall of Fame announced Thursday that Louisville and North Carolina will headline the 2013 event at the Mohegan Sun. But the only way these two teams meet is if they either both win or lose their semifinal games. The other two teams in the event are scheduled to be Richmond and Fairfield.
These two teams haven’t played each other in basketball since the 2008 NCAA tournament, when they met in the finals of the East Region. North Carolina won by a score of 83-73.
