Scott Burgess of ChicagoHoops.com is reporting that Darius Austin, a 6-foot-6 swing-man from Cahokia, IL, has scheduled an unofficial visit to Louisville on Oct. 13 for this year’s Red – White game.

Austin has slightly flown under the radar, but played well enough in July to attract some interest from elite level schools. St. Louis, Miami (OH) and DePaul are Austin’s only offers, but Louisville, Illinois, Cincinnati, Michigan, Iowa, Butler, and Xavier are also showing interest.

Louisville’s newest assistant coach, Kareem Richardson, has connections in the area that Austin is from. Austin and his Southwest Jets AAU team participated in the USA Bluegrass Basketball Classic over the summer at the Kentucky Expo Center. Coach Richardson was in attendance to see Austin perform.
