Former Central Florida Commit Now Considering Louisville

Richard Benjamin, a 3-star receiver from Tampa FL., decommitted from Central Florida earlier this week. Benjamin’s high school coach, Jayson Roberts, tells Bill Ward of TampaBayOnline.com that Louisville, Texas A&M and West Virginia are the three finalists for his star receiver. Benjamin also plays running back and defensive end for Tampa Bay Tech, but is projected to play wide receiver at the college level.

Benjamin likely won’t be the one UCF commit to reopen his recruiting. Last month, the NCAA banned UCF from the football and basketball post-seasons because of recruiting violations. The school was also hit with five years of probation, a $50,000 fine and reductions in scholarships for both sports. The sanctions placed on UCF has recruits second guessing if the current coaching staff will still be around at this time next season.
