According to recruiting analyst Jerry Mayer, 6-foot-9 center Marcus Lee has trimmed his list to seven schools with the Louisville Cardinals making the cut. Lee, a 4-star prospect from Antioch, CA. is down to Louisville, California, UCLA, Kentucky, Indiana, Duke and Kansas. Rick Pitino and his staff watched Lee numerous times over the summer. According to Scout.com, He currently has a scholarship offer from the Cardinals.
Lee has slightly fallen in the national rankings over the summer, but he is still one of the top overall west coast prospects. He’s rated as one of the top five centers in the 2013 class. At this point it’s unclear how high of a priority Lee is to the Louisville staff, especially with the addition of Mangok Mathiang. He has tremendous length and athleticism. With added strength, Lee could be a very effective post player at the next level.
