For the third consecutive season, the Louisville basketball program has been snubbed by ESPN. The four letter network released this year’s schedule for College Gameday with Louisville not being one of their destinations. Despite returning one of the best teams in the country and having the nicest arena in college basketball, ESPN for the third consecutive year has decided not to pay a visit to the Yum! Center.
Despite not hosting Gameday, Louisville still may have an opportunity to participate in the event. ESPN announced the locations where its show will visit eight Saturdays during the season, including Feb. 9, which was listed as a two-game flex choice wildcard selection. The network will choose between either the Pittsburgh at Cincinnati contest or the Louisville at Notre Dame game. A decision most likely will be made a few weeks prior to game date.
