The 2012 preseason USA Today coaches poll was released today at noon. Charlie Strong and the Louisville Cardinals were not ranked in the preseason top 25 poll. The Cardinals received 46 votes which puts them at #27. Louisville was one of the four other Big East teams to receive votes.
This doesn’t come as a huge surprise, in my opinion. If anything, I think this will give the team some motivation. They should now feel as if they have a lot to prove on the national level.
