Two of Trinity High School’s top three prospects are now off the board for the Louisville coaching staff. Nothing is official until these guys sign letters of intent in February, but as of right now defensive end Jason Hatcher is committed USC and cornerback Ryan White gave a verbal pledge to Vanderbilt last night. Wide receiver James Quick is the highest rated of the three and the last one available.
Louisville has always appeared to be in good shape with Quick and at one time was considered the favorite. Things have certainly changed in recent months. The 6-foot-1 wide receiver said in late April that Louisville and Ohio State we’re his final two schools. He later added Oregon to the list and according to Kent Taylor of Wave 3, Quick has now added Kentucky and Cincinnati to the mix. Cincinnati head coach Butch Jones has a great reputation as a recruiter and is currently pursuing Dalyn Dawkins, who is a teammate of Quick’s at Trinity.
I still think Louisville is a serious contender for Quick, but I’m curious to see how White and Hatcher going away to school will affect his decision. I certainly don’t think it helps Louisville’s chances, but just because Quick’s teammates decided to go elsewhere doesn’t mean he will follow suit.

I would be really surprised if he give UK any serious consideration. Quick grew up as a HUGE Cardinals fan and that just does not seem like a move he would make. But that is just my thoughts and I’ve been shocked before…..

James Quick would become a household name in a Louisville jersey ,like Ali or Daryl Griffith and others, become one of legends because your talents will get you to the next level no matter you go period .

It would be good to see another Quick on LOUISVILLE 1st National CHAMPIONSHIP just like Louisville FIESTA BOWL win over Alabama in 91
