Instantly after it became public that Ryan White had decommitted from Louisville and chose Vanderbilt, Corey Cooper, a 3-star wide receiver from Raleigh, N.C., sent out a Tweet that said he had given a commitment to the Cardinal football program.
Although he’s only rated as a 3-star recruit, Cooper has offers from more than fifteen BCS league schools. However, up until recently was not one of the schools that had extended an offer. He unofficially visited Louisville on July 21st and left without a scholarship offer. I’m not sure when the Louisville coaching staff offered him, but I’m assuming if he’s publicly committing, then he does in fact have an offer.
Cooper has scholarship offers from UConn, South Carolina, North Carolina, N.C. State, Miami, Illinois, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma State, Maryland, Minnesota, Kentucky and ECU.
