Class of 2014 Louisville commit Quentin Snider had a phenomenal spring/summer to say the least. The Louisville native capped off his big summer with another AAU title.

Snider and the Louisville Magic won the adidas Super 64 16 & under division title in Las Vegas over the weekend. He scored 23 points in the championship game. Snider and teammate D’Angelo Russell were named co-MVP’s. Russell is also a Louisville native and is currently being recruited by Rick Pitino. He spent his freshman season at Central High School before transferring to Montverde Academy in Florida.

Snider is arguably the most improved overall players in the 2014 class. His stellar performances throughout the spring and summer have earned him a 5-star ranking from Scout.com. The Ballard High School junior-to-be is rated as the 6th best point guard in the 2014 class.

It’s been almost a calendar year since Snider gave Rick Pitino his verbal pledge after picking up a scholarship offer on the same day. Taking commitments from kids entering their sophomore season isn’t something I am a huge fan of, but Snider has definitely changed my opinion. Since committing to Louisville he has kept getting better and better. Snider is a great starting piece for the Louisville’s 2014 class. Louisville is just one of two schools (IU) who have a verbal commitment from a 5-star prospect in the 2014 class.
