The unfortunate news that Louisville fans had feared for over the past few months has finally become official. 2012 signee Terry Rozier will not be a member of the Louisville basketball program in 2012-13. According to Jody Demling of CardinalAuthority.com, Rozier, a 6-foot-1 point guard from Shaker Heights, OH., will attend Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, VA.

This shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, considering Rozier’s academic status had been in question for the past few months. Rozier maintains he is still committed to Louisville which makes perfect sense for him winding up at Hargrave. Louisville assistant coach Kevin Keatts spent a decade at the military academy prior to joining Rick Pitino’s staff. Rozier will join Louisville’s one and only current commitment from the 2013 class, Anton Gill, who will transfer to Hargrave for his final season of prep ball from Ravenscroft, NC.

Without Rozier, Louisville will be very thin at the point guard position this season. A healthy Peyton Siva from start to  finish will be crucial for the Cardinals.
