Former Louisville cornerback Johnny Patrick appeared in just nine games for the New Orleans Saints as a rookie in 2011. He didn’t get a start and most of his action came on special teams.
According to ProFootballWeekly.com, the Saints expect Patrick to make a major jump in his second season in the league. Patrick has been impressive in the New Orleans’ organized team activities and is listed as Saints’ top nickel back. He will compete with three-year veteran Patrick Robinson for the starting spot.
Patrick is one of sixteen former Louisville players that are signed with NFL teams.
