According to Yahoo! Sports, former Louisville forward Earl Clark is involved in a proposed trade that would send him from Orlando to Brooklyn. There are a number of NBA franchises that are trying to make room on their roster to add Magic big man Dwight Howard. Clark, a teammate of Howard’s in Orlando is a part of the most recent proposed trade. Below is a rundown of the very confusing deal that would send Dwight Howard, Earl Clark and Jason Richardson to Brooklyn.
-Brooklyn gets: Dwight Howard, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark from the Magic.
-Orlando gets: Brook Lopez, Damion James and Sheldon Williams from the Nets and Luke Walton from the Cavaliers, plus three future first-round picks.
-Cleveland gets: Quentin Richardson from the Magic, Sundiata Gaines, Kris Humphries (on a one-year guaranteed deal), a first-round pick and $3 million from the Nets.
Since leaving Louisville in 2009, Clark, a former lottery pick has struggled to become a star in the league. In three seasons in the NBA, Clark has averaged just 3.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. He was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 2009, but was traded to Orlando during his second season. Clark averaged a career high 12.4 minutes per game in 2011-12.
E5 has shown flashes of tremendous upside throughout his career; however he hasn’t found a solid fit in the NBA just yet. Being traded to a different team could help Clark’s pro career in the long run
