Jalen Ramsey is a 6′-0″ 194lb Cornerback/Athlete out of Brentwood Tennessee.  As the #1 ranked athlete coming out of the state of Tennessee for the 2013 class, you can imagine the attention he is getting.  Believe it or not, that attention may increase now after the performance he put on for the Rivals100 Five Star Challenge.

For the 7-on-7 tournament Ramsey was named Most Valuable Player for the Southwest region team on Sunday after bringing down three interceptions and corralling a large handful of pass break-ups.  The tremendous athlete showed a great deal of football smarts with his defensive strategies and his keen ability to play the pass and become a defensive prowess.

Ramsey has also amassed other accolades along the way throughout the spring and summer.

June 21st – Invited to “The Opening” which is an all-star summer camp presented by Nike and held at their campus in Oregon.

June 6th – Invited to play in the Under Armour All-American Game.

May 30th – Selected to play in the US Army All-American Bowl.  This event has been of good fortune to Louisville recruiting in the past.

May 30th – Nominated as Gatorade Track Athlete of the Year.

Louisville extended a scholarship off to Ramsey back on February 17th.  While Tennessee, Vandy and USC appear to be leading the pack, don’t expect the Louisville coaching staff to relax on their recruitment of this stud athlete.
