Per Jody Demling of the Courier-Journal, the Louisville basketball program will welcome two unofficial visitors on Wednesday. Karviar Shepherd, a 6-foot-9 210-pound center from Dallas, TX. will be on campus later today. Shepherd is rated as the 10th best center in the 2013 class. Assistant Wyking Jones has been actively recruiting Shepherd throughout the summer. He is a teammate of Jordan Mickey at Arlington Prep. Mickey made a visit to Louisville a couple of weeks ago. He told Scout.com yesterday afternoon that Louisville is currently pursuing him the hardest and that he plans on making a decision by the end of July. Shepherd doesn’t appear to be in any hurry to make a decision, but he does has an impressive list of schools currently pursuing him.  Kansas, Texas A&M, Florida State, Marquette, Texas, Louisville, and Syracuse have all offered scholarships.

Trevon Bluiett, a 6-foot-5 small forward from Indianapolis will also be on the Louisville campus today. Bluiett is rated as one of the top 50 overall players in the 2014 class. Louisville hasn’t offered a scholarship just yet, but their interest level has picked up over the past few weeks. According to Rivals.com, Bluiett holds offers from Illinois, Indiana, IUPUI, Kansas State, Notre Dame, Purdue, Virginia, and Xaiver.
