Former Cardinal Fullback and Louisville native Joe Tronzo will join the Louisville football radio broadcast team as a color analyst. Tronzo will replace former Louisville running back Tony Stallings who held the position last year. Stallings was resigned after permanently moving to Los Angeles to continue his acting career.
Tronzo was a member of the Louisville football team from 2006-09. He was a member of the Cards first BCS bowl win and their first Big East regular season title. After graduating from Louisville, Tronzo spent time in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Tennessee Titans.
Tronzo will join long-time Louisville play-by-plan man Paul Rogers in the broadcast booth. Doug Ormany will be your sideline reporter for the 2012 season. Games carried on the Cardinals’ Radio Network will be broadcast on either WHAS 840 or WKRD 790.
