For the first time since arriving in Louisville I had a chance to catch up with Kevin Ware to get an update on his recruitment. He said he couldn’t do a video interview with me, but he did agree to answer some questions. He didn’t have a whole lot to say, but it definitely sounds like Louisville is back in the picture.
I started off simply by asking him if the Central Florida situation was a done deal. He basically responded by saying ”No not at this exact time”. I then asked him if he was still considering Louisville, and he responded with “ABSOLUTELY”. Just to push him a little I then asked if he was seriously considering the Cards. He replied with “Yes, I am seriously considering Louisville”.
It’s not a whole lot, but the rumors can be put to rest about Central Florida and Ware being a done deal. I think before he arrived to Louisville he was 100% sure he wanted to be a Knight, but I know being around guys like Zach, Chane, and Angel has really got him second guessing.
It may be a long shot, but it couldn’t hurt to give Kevin a loud standing ovation from Card Nation tomorrow night when he is introduced.
