Former Cardinals

2000-2010 Cardinal Starting Line-Up

In the last decade the Cards have had a number of great players. If I had to put together a team with guys from the last ten years, this is who I would go with.

His first two years under Coach Crum and his final two with Coach Pitino. AP All-America 3rd team honors his senior season while leading the Cardinals to a 25-7 win-loss record. During the 2007-08 season, Williams achieved the third and fourth triple-doubles in Louisville basketball history (the first two by Samaki Walker and Ellis Myles). He racked up 14 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds in the Cardinals’ season-opening 104-69 win over Hartford and had 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in a January 19, 2008 loss to Seton Hall.

Ellis Myles Center – Ellis Myles

Played at Louisville from 2000-2005. Myles help lead Louisville to its 8th Final Four in 2005 and was a member of the West Regional All Tournament Team. Posted the second triple double in Louisville history on 3/10/05 against TCU, with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Ranks 6th in all time rebounds with 998. Key Reserves.

It was tough leaving some of these guys out of the starting line-up.
